Holiday Lighting Conduit Sleeves in New Pinellas Paver Joints
Every December, someone drills or staples a holiday-light cord across a brand-new driveway because nobody put a sleeve in when the base was open. Path lights get the same treatment in March: a shallow trench cut through polymeric joints that then wash out all summer.
What we sleeve before the field is set
A spare conduit from the house corner to the street-side palm or mailbox.
A crossing under the walk so path lights do not jump the joints later.
A marked pull point at a planter or column, not a mystery end buried under sand.
Separation from irrigation so a shovel looking for a drip line does not cut the lighting run.
Why this is cheaper in the base phase
Open base is the only cheap time to cross a driveway. After polymeric sand and a locked edge, every new trench is a repair. We do not wire the lights unless you ask — we leave clean sleeves and a simple as-built so your electrician or holiday crew can pull later without calling us back to unzip the field.
