Isolating Screen-Enclosure Footers from a Pinellas Paver Field

A screen enclosure poured after the paver field is a different structure. If the cage footer is locked into the same bedding as the patio, every post will telegraph a crack or a lip when the aluminum rack moves in a storm.

Bond-breaker and weep details

We leave a bond-breaker at each footer, pitch the field away from the post, and keep polymeric sand out of the cage weep. Posts that must punch through an existing deck get a sleeve and a matching cut unit so the field can be lifted later without cutting the frame.

On pool decks the footer also has to miss the beam and the equipotential bond. We mark those before the first saw cut and photograph the layout for the cage contractor and the building inspector.

Coordinate the cage and the deck

If the enclosure is already on the calendar, send both contractor contacts. PaverForge Hardscapes will sequence the field, the footers, and the kick-plate threshold so the slider still clears. Call 727-490-9798.
