Leaving a Construction Access Lane Through a New Pinellas Driveway
Many Pinellas owners pour or pave the front drive first, then add a pool, lanai, or second-story later. If the whole field is sanded and sealed with no planned lift zone, the next crew either drives across fresh joints or saw-cuts a path. PaverForge Hardscapes can leave a construction access lane that comes back out clean.
How an access lane is built
Identify the only legal path from the street to the backyard before layout.
Use a soldier or sailor band at both edges of the lane so it can be lifted as a unit.
Hold final polymeric sand in that lane until the last heavy trade is gone.
Photograph the lane so the later crew knows what they are allowed to cross.
What this saves
It saves a tear-out when the pool steel or the roofing dumpster needs the side yard. It also keeps the visible front field off-limits, so the part guests see is not the part that takes the abuse. When the later project ends, we compact, reset, and sand the lane to match.
