Louden Avenue Dunedin Paver Approaches
Louden Avenue runs east-west through central Dunedin, a quiet residential street of older homes, mature oaks, and short drive aprons that meet the city curb in one car length. A full motor court does not fit. The work is the approach: the first ten to twenty feet that take every tire, every delivery truck, and every afternoon thunderstorm.
Why approaches fail here
The usual failure is a sand-set overlay on native soil. The first course sinks at the curb, the sidewalk joint opens, and water sits against the garage. We excavate the approach, compact aggregate in lifts, and set the pavers so the cross-slope sheds to the street, not back to the slab. If the city sidewalk has been ground or raised, we match that elevation instead of burying the joint.
Keeping the neighbor access open
Louden lots often share a side-yard path to the bins and the meter. Staging stays on the drive we are rebuilding, not across that path. Utility lids and irrigation boxes are reset flush, not left proud of the new field.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds Louden Avenue approaches with a locked edge and a base that can take a truck. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
