Outdoor Kitchen Gas Quick-Connects and Stub-Up Pads in Pinellas
The expensive mistake on a Pinellas outdoor kitchen is finishing a pretty paver field and then saw-cutting a gas trench to the grill. That cut never disappears, the joint sand keeps washing into the trench, and the appliance pad often sits too low after the next compaction. PaverForge Hardscapes sleeves the gas run and sets the stub-up pad while the base is still open.
What gets sleeved before the sand bed
Black-iron or CSST run in a sleeve under the field, with a tracer so a future tech can find it.
A quick-connect or shutoff in a valve box that finishes flush with the pavers.
A compacted appliance pad thicker than the patio field so a grill island does not punch the bedding sand.
An electrical sleeve for a rotisserie outlet or low-voltage lights in the same trench when the kitchen plan is known.
Permits and clearances
Gas work is permitted work. We coordinate the sleeve location with the licensed gas fitter and keep manufacturer clearances off the house wall, the screen cage, and any propane cylinder. A salt-air grill on a barrier-island lot also needs a pad that drains; standing rinse water under a cabinet rusts the quick-connect long before the pavers look tired.
