Outdoor Kitchen Hood Exhaust Curb Pads
An outdoor kitchen hood, make-up-air fan, or roof-curb condensate line still lands on the patio. If that equipment sits on bedding sand, vibration and grease drip settle the pavers and stain the joints.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds a small isolation pad or raised curb for hood fans, grease trays, and exhaust supports so the unit is on concrete and the walking field can be lifted later without cutting the duct.
Setback, grease, and a trapped edge
We keep the pad outside the main walking module, pitch it away from the cabinet toe-kick, and give grease drip a trapped edge or a short drain to a planted area rather than the pool deck. The paver field stops at a pinned restraint so the cabinet installer can set the hood without standing on loose sand.
Where the exhaust curb is already poured, we cut pavers to the curb, keep a joint at the concrete, and avoid polymeric sand hard against a hot hood housing.
Match the island, not a leftover slab
The pad should read as part of the island border, usually a darker soldier course, not a bare concrete patch in the middle of the patio. We blend the field from the same pallets as the kitchen surround.
