Outdoor Misting-Fan Pedestal Pads on a Pinellas Lanai
Gulf lanais add misting fans on pedestals so the cage stays usable in August. A fan bolted through loose pavers walks, and a water line buried under the field becomes a tear-out the first time a nozzle clogs.
What the pad has to do
We set a small isolated pad, thicker than the surrounding field, with a sleeve for the water line and any low-voltage feed. The pad is pitched so mist runoff leaves the base instead of ponding under the pedestal.
Sleeve the water and low-voltage lines before the screed
Keep the pad off the screen-post footing so the cage can be re-anchored
Set the fan base above the polymeric joint, not buried in it
Leave a service loop so a nozzle repair does not lift the court
Salt and overspray
Misting water on a coastal lanai is not distilled. We do not seal a wet field to hide mineral spotting, and we keep the pad far enough from the slider that overspray is not the indoor floor's problem.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds these pads with the patio, or cuts them into an existing Pinellas court. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
