Pickleball Courts on Pinellas Paver and Sport-Court Fields
Basketball half-courts already have a page on this site. Pickleball is a different plane. The court is smaller, the bounce is less forgiving of a dish, and most Pinellas owners want it in a side yard that also has to shed stormwater. Painting lines on a patio that already ponds is not a court.
PaverForge will build a dedicated court field or a hybrid patio-to-court when the grade and the neighbors allow it. We will also tell you when the lot is too short, too sloped, or too close to a bedroom window for this to be a good idea.
What a court field needs
A plane that is flat enough for a consistent bounce. That is a base and screed problem, not a sealer problem.
A surface choice: dense pavers, a sport-court overlay on a prepared slab, or porcelain only where we accept the substrate.
Ball containment and neighbor lines. A court that fires balls into the next yard becomes a complaint, not a feature.
Pinellas constraints
HOAs in Feather Sound, Carillon, East Lake, and similar streets often want a packet. Flood-zone and drainage rules still apply — a court cannot dump water onto the neighbor. Coastal heat makes dark fields uncomfortable; we talk color before we order.
If you already have a level concrete pad that is sound, we can discuss conversion. If the pad is cracked and out of plane, we start over. Call 727-490-9798.
