Setting a Pool-Heater Flue Collar Through a Finished Paver Deck
Some Pinellas pool equipment packs sit so tight to the cage that the heater flue or intake chase has to pass the edge of a finished paver deck. A raw cut in the field collects sand, rust, and a dark heat bloom that owners notice before they notice the heater itself.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds a flush collar with a heat setback, a pinned ring, and a pitch that sends splash away from the heater skid. The collar is independent of the main field so a later heater swap does not force a full deck tear-out.
We coordinate the opening with the pool-heater clearance diagram, keep combustible setbacks honest, and leave the bonding and gas shutoff reachable from the pad.
Flue-collar details that matter
Manufacturer intake and exhaust setback through the paver plane
Heat-aware joint material that will not melt or haze
Service ring large enough for a future heater like-for-like swap
Deck pitch that does not dump rain into the heater burner tray
