Protecting a Finished Driveway During Dumpster and Porta-John Staging

Remodels on Pinellas lots often put the dumpster on the only hard surface: the new driveway. Steel feet, roll-off rails, and a weekly pump-out truck are enough to face-chip units and roll the edge restraint.

Mats and load points

We set access mats or plywood over a sacrificial soldier band, never on a micro-chamfer field that shows every scar. The dumpster sits on known load points, not on the first course.

Oil and pump-out

Porta-john service trucks drip. We keep a drip pan at the hitch and wash oil before it bakes into the sealer. If the field is newly sealed, we postpone the drop or use a sacrificial pad.

If the damage is already there

Face chips can be blended with leftover units. A walked edge gets re-pinned and re-sanded. Call 727-490-9798 before the next roll-off so we can mark a safe pad instead of repairing the same corner twice.
