Rebuilding a Paver Apron After a Fire-Hydrant Relocation

When the city relocates a fire hydrant, the trench usually crosses the driveway throat and leaves a settlement stripe plus a new valve lid in the wrong plane. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds the private apron so the field, the lid, and the curb-cut all read as one job.

After the city leaves

We wait for the municipal backfill to take traffic, then proof-roll. Soft spots get undercut. The new lid gets a grade ring so it finishes flush with the pavers instead of proud of the soldier course.

Matching the existing field

Hydrant cuts rarely leave extra original units. We pull a repair band from the same color family, or we run a new soldier course across the throat so the patch disappears. Edge restraint is re-pinned at both sides of the trench because the original spikes are usually gone.

Apron rebuilds after utility and hydrant work throughout Pinellas County. Call 727-490-9798.
