Rebuilding a Paver Driveway After an Irrigation-Main Replacement
Irrigation contractors often cut a trench through a finished paver driveway to replace a leaking main or upsize a line. The trench gets backfilled in a hurry, the pavers go back loose, and the first summer storm settles a stripe down the middle of the drive. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds that stripe the way the original section was built.
Rebuild sequence
Lift a clean band wider than the trench so we can re-compact native soil, not just the pipe zone.
Replace organic or soupy backfill with crushed concrete in lifts and proof-roll each lift.
Reset bedding to a consistent thickness and relay units in the original pattern.
Color-match the soldier course from leftover or repair-pallet units so the band disappears.
Coordinate with the irrigation crew
If the main replacement has not happened yet, we can sleeve the crossing and leave a marked chase so the irrigation contractor does not saw-cut a finished field. That is cheaper than a rebuild.
