San Salvador Drive Dunedin Paver Drives
Paver drives on San Salvador Drive in Dunedin, rebuilt on a compacted base so the apron meets the sidewalk and the field does not drift after summer rain.
Why San Salvador drives settle
San Salvador Drive is a residential Dunedin street near San Mateo, with older homes, mixed oaks, and drives that were poured thin over sand. After a wet summer the center of the drive dips and the edges creep into the lawn.
Tire paths show the failure first. Joints open, sand washes out, and a pressure wash makes the dip look worse because the bedding was already gone.
Rebuild, do not overlay
We do not overlay a drifting field. The pavers come up, usable units are cleaned and restacked, and the base is rebuilt in compacted lifts with geotextile where the sand is loose.
A soldier course locks the apron. The garage threshold gets a slight step-down so stormwater does not run inside. Downspouts that used to dump on the drive are tied to a splash pad or pop-up so the new joints stay full.
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the apron, the sidewalk joint, and any low spot. We typically reply the same business day and walk the lot before we lock a number. The shop is in St. Pete Beach, and the same crew covers Dunedin, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, and St. Petersburg.
