Seawall Caps and Bulkhead Tie-Ins for Pinellas Paver Patios

A lot of south Pinellas patios end at a seawall cap or a timber bulkhead. The field looks finished until the first king tide or a summer storm pulls the edge toward the water. That is a detail problem, not a color problem.

PaverForge Hardscapes builds waterfront paver patios from St. Pete Beach and treats the cap joint as part of the spec. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at paverforge.com/book-online.

What we check before we pitch the field

Finished-floor height, cap elevation, neighbor grade, and where stormwater is allowed to go all decide the layout. Sometimes the patio should drain toward the canal. Sometimes that would flood a neighbor or overtop a low cap, and we add a drain instead.

  • Cap height and condition before we set the last course

  • Pitch that protects the house first

  • An edge that is restrained, not just butted to the wall

  • A joint that can be maintained after settlement

What we will not fake

We will not hide a failing seawall under a pretty paver skin. If the wall needs a contractor who does marine structure, we say so before we quote the patio. The paver field can only be as stable as what it sits against.

How to start a waterfront patio quote

Call 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the patio, the cap, and any ponding. We typically reply the same business day and will walk the lot before we lock a number.
