Setting a Flush Electric-Meter Pad After a Pinellas Service Upgrade
A 200-amp service upgrade moves the meter can, the riser, and often the grounding electrode. The old paver walk is then a hole with a new can sitting in mud. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a compact pad and rebuilds the walk so the meter stays readable, the riser is not buried, and splash from the roof leader does not sit against the enclosure.
Clearances the pad has to respect
Utility working space in front of the meter is not optional. We keep the field flush, do not build a raised planter that blocks the can, and leave the grounding conductor visible where the electrician left it. Conduit sleeves go in before bedding sand so a future service change does not tear the walk again.
Walk rebuild after the electrician leaves
We wait until the inspection sticker is on the can. Then we compact the disturbed trench, set a small soldier band around the riser, and match existing pavers or bring a repair pallet. The pad pitches away from the wall so the next storm does not wick into the stucco.
Coordinate the hardscape with the service upgrade
Have the electrician call us before backfill when you can. Otherwise send photos of the open trench and the new can to PaverForge@gmail.com or call 727-490-9798.
