Setting a Flush Pool-Deck Bonding-Lug Access Box
Florida pool decks need an equipotential bond that an inspector can actually see. Hiding the lug under a random paver guarantees a broken unit the first time someone pries it up. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush access box in the field so the lug stays dry-ish, findable, and out of the barefoot walking line.
Box elevation and lid match
The box rim sits at finished paver elevation, not proud of the soldier course. We compact the base around the box, keep a tight ring cut, and choose a lid that can take a chair leg. If the deck is a darker blend, we avoid a bright plastic lid in the middle of the lounge zone.
Coordinate with the electrician
The lug and conductor land before we sand the joints. We leave working room in the box, keep the conductor off sharp paver edges, and do not bury the connection in bedding sand. After inspection, the lid goes back flush and the surrounding joints get polymeric sand like the rest of the field.
Add it to a deck rebuild
If you are already lifting a Pinellas pool deck, this is the moment to add the access box instead of chasing a buried lug later. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798.
