Setting a Flush Pool-Filter Backwash Dry-Well Cover in a Pinellas Deck
Pool filters in Pinellas still get backwashed into the yard. When that discharge dumps onto a sand-set deck it leaves a calcium ring and a soft spot. The cleaner detail is a small dry well off the multiport with a flush paver cover that matches the deck. PaverForge Hardscapes sets that cover so the cage floor stays walkable.
How the cover sits in the field
The dry-well lid gets a grade ring so the paver cap lands at the same plane as the surrounding deck. We isolate the ring from the pool beam and hold deck pitch toward the designated drain, not toward sliders. A removable soldier-course frame lets the pool tech pull the lid without chiseling polymeric joints.
Chemistry and staining
Salt-cell and acid-wash waste should not land in the same well as a clean backwash if the plumber can split them. When they must share a pit we use a washed stone reservoir and a cover that can be lifted after a heavy backwash so fines do not crust under the pavers. The field around the cover is sealed only after the first service cycle.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds these covers across St. Pete Beach, Gulfport, Seminole, and the north-county pool-cage belt. Call 727-490-9798.
