Setting a Flush Pool Skimmer Access Ring in a Paver Deck

A pool skimmer lid that sits proud of a paver deck is a trip edge. A lid that gets paved over cannot be serviced. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush access ring so the lid lands at finished grade and the throat stays open.

How the ring is set

We mark the skimmer before the field is screeded. The ring is isolated from the coping joint so deck movement does not crack the skimmer throat. Pavers are cut to the ring, not forced under the lid. The lid must lift without prying up the border.

Salt decks and screen cages still need this access. Hiding the skimmer under a furniture leg is not a substitute. If the deck is being re-leveled, we reset the ring in the same visit.

Ask for the ring on the quote

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. A photo of the skimmer and the deck edge is enough to include the ring in the walk-through.
