Setting a Pool ORP and pH Chemical-Controller Isolation Pad

An ORP and pH controller is a small panel with a probe string, a peristaltic feed, and a GFCI that does not belong on the same plane as a barefoot deck. PaverForge Hardscapes builds a dedicated isolation pad so the controller sits level, cables have a drip loop, and acid or chlorine splash never stains the field you just sanded.

Why it cannot share the deck field

Probe cables hate being pinched in a soldier course. Chemical splash etches polymeric sand and leaves a white halo that no sealer fully hides. Vibration from a nearby pump also walks a panel that is only lagged into bedding sand. A separate pad with its own edge and a bond-breaker at the cage footer keeps those problems off the walking surface.

Pad build

We size the pad to the panel plus service clearance, compact a crushed-concrete base, and set 80mm units or a tight modular field that can take a tech standing on it with a toolbox. Conduit sleeves go in before the bedding. The pad pitches to a grass or gravel edge, not back under the cage. We leave a clean reveal for the bonding lug and the GFCI cover.

Coordinate with the pool tech

Bring the controller model, probe-string length, and whether the feed pumps sit on the same skid. PaverForge Hardscapes will place the pad, sleeve the homerun, and leave the field ready for the pool contractor to land the panel. Call 727-490-9798.
