Setting a Sliding-Gate Track in a Finished Pinellas Paver Driveway
A sliding gate on a Pinellas driveway fails when the track is an afterthought. The operator pad sinks, the rail bows, and the gate racks against a soldier course that was never meant to take that load. PaverForge Hardscapes sets the track and the operator pad while the base is still open.
Isolate the track from the field
The rail sits on its own compacted or poured section, not on bedding sand. We leave a clean joint so the paver field can be lifted later without cutting the gate loose. The operator and call box get a pad at the correct elevation relative to the finished stone, with conduit sleeved under the field before the plate compactor makes a second pass.
If the gate already exists and the field has settled under the rail, we lift a band, rebuild the track bed, and close the pattern with leftover or blended units instead of running a zigzag repair down the throat.
How to start
Call 727-490-9798. Send a photo of the gate opening, the intended motor side, and the garage threshold so the track elevation is set against the slab, not against a guess.
