Setting a Whole-House Dehumidifier Condensate Pad Beside a Pinellas Garage
Whole-house dehumidifiers get parked on the same equipment pad as the air handler, then the condensate line drips onto the paver walk and grows algae at the garage corner. PaverForge Hardscapes builds a small dedicated pad with pitch to a condensate line or splash basin so the cabinet stays level and the walk stays clean.
Why it cannot share the AC pad
A shared pad puts vibration and drip in the same plane as the condenser. We isolate the dehumidifier, keep service clearance the manufacturer lists, and sleeve the condensate through the bed instead of draping vinyl across joints. The pad sits on compacted base, not on bedding sand borrowed from the driveway.
Algae, overflow, and summer storms
Pinellas humidity means the drain runs most of the year. We pitch to a trapped receptor or a pop-up that daylightes in planting, not onto the soldier course. Overflow during a storm still has a path that does not undercut the garage threshold. Electrical disconnects stay on the wall, not in the walking surface.
PaverForge Hardscapes can set the dehumidifier pad during a driveway or side-yard rebuild. Call 727-490-9798.
