Setting an Outdoor Kitchen Refrigerator and Kegerator Pad in Pinellas
An outdoor refrigerator or kegerator looks like it can sit on the same paver field as the grill island. It cannot. The cabinet is a point load, it vibrates, and the drip tray overflows into joints. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a dedicated pad under the box so the island field can move a little without racking the door.
Level, drip, and service pull
We compact a separate base, set the pad dead level for the compressor, and pitch a small drip channel to the island floor drain or a trapped receptor. Leave a pull space so the unit comes out without lifting the counter. Gas and electric stub-ups stay in sleeves, not saw-cut after the fact.
Heat and salt air
West-facing islands cook the side of a cheap outdoor box. We keep the pad off the grill heat setback, use color-through units that hide drip stains, and keep polymeric out of the drip path. If the island is inside a screen cage, the pad still isolates from the cage footer.
