Setting an Outdoor TV and Weatherproof Media-Cabinet Pad
An outdoor television cabinet is a tall, narrow load. If it sits on a patio field that still has bedding movement, the screen racks, the door binds, and water sits in the cabinet base after every storm.
A pad, not just leftover units
We build a dedicated pad or a thickened landing inside the patio with a bond-break from the main field. The pad is dead level so the cabinet does not need shims that crush. A slight perimeter pitch throws splash away from the electrical chase.
Conduit for power and low-voltage is sleeved through the pad before the cabinet lands. We leave a service gap behind the box so a tech can reach connections without lifting pavers later.
Sun, salt, and furniture layout
On west-facing Pinellas patios we place the pad where late sun does not cook the screen and where seating still has a walk lane. Salt air means the cabinet, not the pavers, takes the finish beating — the pad just has to stay put.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets outdoor media pads with new patios or as a cut-in on an existing field. Call 727-490-9798.
