Shared Driveways and Neighbor Access on Pinellas Lots

South Pinellas still has a lot of shared drives: beach cottages, duplex lots, and older mid-block parcels that split a 16-foot ribbon. One neighbor wants new pavers. The other still has a cracked slab. If you treat that as two separate jobs you get a seam that fails in the first wet season.

One base, a clean joint

We would rather compact one base across the easement and leave a planned joint at the property line than glue two different systems together. If the neighbor is not ready to rebuild, we stop at a restrained edge that can accept a future field without tearing yours out. That decision happens on site with both parties, not in a text thread.

  • Confirm who owns which half before we price excavation

  • Stage so both garages stay usable as long as the work allows

  • Match elevation at the sidewalk and both thresholds

  • Write the joint and edge into the quote so nobody is surprised

Access is the job

On St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island the shared drive is also the only place a truck can sit. We plan delivery windows, keep a walking path to each front door, and will not dump stone across a neighbor's apron without a plan.

Walk both sides before you sign

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. Bring the neighbor if you can. We will look at the seam, the thresholds, and the street frontage and tell you whether a half-rebuild is honest or whether the base has to go as one piece.
