Side-Load Garage Turning-Radius Aprons on Pinellas Lots

A side-load garage looks smaller on a survey than it drives in real life. The outside rear tire tracks a much wider arc than the door width. PaverForge Hardscapes lays those aprons from the turning template, not from the old concrete rectangle.

Layout that cars can actually use

  • String the swing of the longest vehicle the owner parks, including a boat trailer if one lives here.

  • Hold a soldier or sailor course on the outside radius so the cut field does not unravel.

  • Keep the low point at the street, not against the neighbor's fence line.

Pinellas specifics

On 50-foot lots the extra radius often eats the only planting strip. We recapture that with a narrow planter pocket and a root barrier instead of paving the entire side yard. Flood-zone lots get the same two-percent pitch; we do not flatten the field to make the turn look symmetric.
