Building a Side-Yard Firewood and Outdoor-Storage Staging Pad

A Pinellas side yard is usually the only place left for firewood, spare pavers, a covered grill, and the recycling overflow. Set that pile on soil and you stain the stucco, feed subterranean termites, and pump water toward the slab.

We build a compact staging pad with a slight pitch to a splash strip, a pinned edge so logs cannot roll into the AC pad, and a height that still clears the hose bib.

If the lot already has a fence and a condenser, the pad is notched around both. We do not bury the disconnect or block the service door.
