Snowbird Irrigation Shutoff After a New Pinellas Paver Install
A new Pinellas driveway or patio and a snowbird calendar collide every winter. The joints need a short cure window with no pounding spray. The lawn contractor wants the heads back on before the owner flies north. Those two clocks are not the same.
PaverForge Hardscapes writes the irrigation handoff into closeout so the first month does not undo the install.
Cure first, then leave
Keep heads off the new field until the polymeric has locked. A rotary that beats the same joint every night will wash sand and leave a haze line you cannot buff out. If sod went in the same week, aim the heads at the grass, not across the soldier course.
Before you leave for the season, cap or redirect any head that throws onto the pavers. Reclaimed-water staining and fertilizer burn show up in March on fields that looked clean in November. A shutoff at the backflow and a note for the house-sitter beats a spring cleaning invoice.
What to check in March
Walk the edge. If a corner rocks or a joint has opened after a winter of wind-driven rain, call 727-490-9798 before you pressure-wash. That is a warranty conversation, not a weekend project. Book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online if you want the field inspected before you turn the water back on.
