String-Line and Laser Layout on Sloped Pinellas Paver Lots
Most callback puddles on Pinellas paver jobs start as a layout miss, not a product miss. A two-percent pitch looks fine on a sketch and still dumps water into a slider if the first string is pulled from the wrong corner.
Layout checks before bedding sand
We shoot the garage threshold, the house slab, the pool beam, and the lowest legal discharge point before a single paver is set. Lasers hold the plane across a wide driveway; string lines lock soldier courses and radius kits so the pattern does not drift as the crew works downhill.
On lots that fall more than a few inches from house to street we split the field into planes instead of forcing one slope that either starves the street inlet or floods the stoop. Steps and landings get their own landing elevations, not a leftover fall from the patio.
