Sunset Drive St. Pete Beach Walkways

Sunset Drive is a short residential street on St. Pete Beach, west of the Bayway and close enough to the Gulf that the shell pack never really dries. Walkways fail where the path pinches between the house and the neighbor fence, and where a hose bib has been washing the bedding sand out for years.

A path, not a patio pretending to be one

We size the walk to the actual traffic: trash carts, a beach wagon, and the meter reader. A field that is wider than the side yard just traps water against the stem wall. The edge stays rigid, and any existing irrigation crossing gets a sleeve before the pavers go back.

  • Compacted aggregate under the walking course

  • Pitch off the house, even on a three-foot side yard

  • Soldier course at the sidewalk so the city joint stays clean

  • Flush collar if a hose bib or cleanout already breaks the path
