Trailer and Dual-Axle Loads on Pinellas Paver Drives

A passenger car spreads load. A dual-axle boat trailer does not. Two small contact patches sit on the same two courses every weekend on the way to the ramp. If the field was built like a patio, those courses dish, the sand washes, and the edge opens at the apron.

How we spec a trailer drive

  • 80mm pavers on the drive, not 60mm leftover from a patio pallet.

  • A deeper compacted base on the tire paths, especially the last fifteen feet before the street.

  • Herringbone so the units lock under a turning trailer jack.

  • An apron and edge that can take a tire that drops off the field by a few inches.

What to tell us on the quote walk

Show us the trailer, the tongue weight, and where it parks. A drive that only sees a sedan can be a different build than a drive that sees a dual-axle every Saturday. We would rather say that on the first visit than after the field has a pair of ruts.
