Umbrella Sleeves and Table-Anchor Sockets in Pinellas Paver Patios

A market umbrella that sits in a wheeled base will walk across a paver patio every time the afternoon sea breeze hits. The clean fix is a sleeve set in the compacted base, capped flush with the paver field, so the pole is in the ground and the joints stay closed.

How the sleeve is built

We locate the table before the screed rails come out. A PVC or stainless sleeve sits on a small concrete haunch or a compacted stone pocket, plumbed, with the top below finished paver height. The pavers are cut around the cap so the lid reads as a unit, not as a plumbing cleanout.

  • Sleeve diameter matches the pole you actually own, not a generic cap.

  • Drain hole at the bottom so summer rain does not sit in the tube.

  • Cap that finishes flush so a bare foot does not catch the lid.

  • Table-anchor sockets for bolted dining bases on pool decks that see wind.

Do not drill it after the fact

Core-drilling a finished field to drop a sleeve later opens joints, scars adjacent units, and often hits the wrong spot once the table is centered on the view. Mark the furniture plan on the sand bed. If the plan changes, we can move a sleeve for less than the cost of replacing a cut ring of pavers.

PaverForge Hardscapes sets umbrella sleeves and table anchors on Pinellas patios and pool decks while the base is still open. Call 727-490-9798 before the furniture is ordered.
