Victoria Drive Dunedin Paver Drives
Victoria Drive is a north-south residential street in Dunedin, west of Alternate 19 and close enough to downtown that lots stayed narrow when the cottages went in. Two cars, a meter, and a side-yard gate have to share one apron. A driveway that looks generous on a Countryside lot will not fit here.
Width, pitch, and the first course
We lay the drive out from the garage jambs and the city approach, not from a catalog width. The field pitches to the street. The first course is restrained so it cannot creep into the gutter. Where the apron crosses a sidewalk, the joint is a clean break, not a paver buried under the concrete.
What usually needs a reset
Irrigation valve boxes and water meters on Victoria Drive often sit in the drive path. We reset them flush with a paver ring so a tire does not catch the lid. If a previous overlay has already settled, we pull it. A second layer of pavers on a failed base just moves the dip six months out.
