Wheel-Stop Sockets in Paver Parking Stalls
Commercial and HOA paver parking looks finished until someone drop-anchors a wheel stop through the middle of a unit. The paver cracks, the joint washes, and the bumper becomes a dam that holds water against the building or sidewalk.
How we set sockets
We layout stall stripes first, then reserve a socket or sleeved core at the design offset so the bumper sits on a solid pad, not on a hollow joint. Anchors go into a dedicated block or a thickened pad, never through a thin 60mm field paver that was meant for cars rolling, not point loads from a steel bumper.
Drainage and striping
Wheel stops should not fight the stall pitch. We keep the field falling to the drive aisle or a trench drain, then place the stop so sheet flow still passes. If the owner later restripes, the sockets stay in the same geometry.
